I attended the Christian Science Sunday School from an early age until I was twenty. During that time I depended on my mother's prayerful help in solving the few problems that occurred.

After my marriage into a family that was not interested in Christian Science, I realized that I must make the effort to use what I had learned of God and my relationship to Him in overcoming difficulties. With the help of dedicated Christian Science practitioners from time to time our two children and I experienced many healings, two of which I would like to relate.

One child, who had been badly frightened on three different occasions, had difficulty in speaking. A remark was made by a member of the family that school would be very difficult for this child because of stuttering. Another relative, without my knowledge, consulted a physician, who said that there was no cure but that the difficulty might improve somewhat before or during early adulthood.
