BLESSING
Proverbs 26:2; Matthew 3:16
"The curse causeless
shall not come."
It shall pass over
and fly out of sight:
a mythical bird
can never alight.
It can utter no cry,
it is dumb.
"The curse causeless
shall not come."
But the dove shall descend—
a blessing from heaven—
and light upon one
who is pure, on one
who is pleasing
in His sight:
God's blessing of peace
shall not pass over.
The dove shall descend
and alight.
