Going to Denver
Have you ever been going on a trip when your car was just slowly chugging along on a highway?
It happened to Mom and me last summer. We were going to visit our cousins. Our car couldn't make it.
We prayed. We knew God would help us. We said the Lord's Prayer. And we sang Mrs. Eddy's hymn that begins, "Shepherd, show me how to go..." and goes on, "I will listen for Thy voice.../I will follow and rejoice/All the rugged way." Christian Science Hymnal, No. 304. It helped me. It made me feel closer to God. I knew God wouldn't leave us alone.
We got to a filling station, but they couldn't help us. The next station knew just what to do. We were soon on our way. I was so happy, I thanked God. It was a very happy vacation.
