Having Better Days

We can greatly improve the quality of our daily experiences. But it takes some effort on our part.

In Christian Science one quickly learns the importance of beginning the day by spiritualizing his thinking. He finds that the Bible, studied in the light of Christian Science, becomes a source of spiritual illumination and practical inspiration brightening and happifying his daily activities. The words of the Psalmist become manifest in his life: "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Ps. 118:24;

Understanding that God is good and the only creator and, as a consequence of this divine fact, that all that He creates is good and moves in accord with His divine laws, we find that only good can come to us. Aligning ourselves with the divine order early each morning, we find and follow divine guidance, remembering that "the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." Prov. 4:18; Christ Jesus prepared himself through prayer. Mark tells us, "And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed." Mark 1:35; And what wonderful days Jesus had!
