Meeting the Need for Intelligence

More intelligence? It's not the sort of thing that can be increased in quantity. Nor is it quantifiable, as in an intelligence quotient. But we can utilize it more. How?

We may not always be as loving as we should. But it's not hard to agree that we can give out as much love as we really care to. Love is here to utilize whenever we wish. We don't think of love as coming from somewhere else, or as something that has to be laboriously bucketed out of a finite reservoir of love. We can love spontaneously. We can love unlimitedly. And we can be as intelligent as we need to be, too. Through Christian Science we learn that intelligence, like love, is not something that comes from somewhere else.

Perhaps we don't always utilize our intelligence potential, for the reason that we don't always seem to be as aware of the nature of intelligence as we are of love. Christian Science can adjust this discrepancy. The synonyms for God used in Christian Science— Mind, Soul, Love, Principle, Truth, Spirit, Life—all refer, of course, to the same thing: to Deity. They're not isolated independent facets of God. And we can demonstrate intelligence and wisdom, all attributes of Mind, as readily as those of Love and Life.
