A Tool for Success
Over and over again it is stressed at salesmen's meetings that enthusiasm is a must if a salesman is going to be successful. Those who conduct these meetings to promote sales speak about the importance of knowledge, perseverance, sincerity, and the necessity of combining these qualities with enthusiasm.
There is good reason for this stress on enthusiasm. The career of a beginning salesman, and an experienced one too, is often fraught with disappointments, discouragement, frustrations, and seemingly unproductive labor. All this would tend to make even the most hopeful salesman unenthusiastic, depressed, and dull.
How grateful we can be when we understand in Christian Science that there is, in reality, neither a personal devil nor an evil power of any kind. Whatever might seem to thwart human progress is a powerless lie, or false belief, for there is nothing to disrupt the harmonious flow of good in divine Science. God being omnipotent and the only power, nothing can, in truth, interfere with His plan for man. All the good manifested in our human lives comes from Spirit, the source of all substance and production.
