I would like to express in writing my sincere appreciation of a healing I had through Christian Science in January, 1972. This healing made me aware of the still small voice as soon as I learned to cast out my unwillingness to listen.
One morning I awoke and found myself deaf in my left ear. Not only was I deaf, but my equilibrium had been affected too. This lack of hearing really bothered me, because it was the first physical problem I had ever had. I had been brought up in a Christian Science home all my life, but at the moment I felt this difficulty was more than my understanding could handle.
I made an appointment with the best ear doctor in our city. When I went to see him, he gave me tone tests and told me I had deafness in that ear classified as instant and total deafness. He also told me that there was no medical explanation for the condition or treatment he could give me to remedy it. He did, however, suggest that I pray.
