As a student of Christian Science I have had many opportunities to prove God's loving care for His children. The operation of the one divine Mind was very apparent to me throughout the following experience.

Late in the spring of 1970, a hospital phoned me at the preschool where I work, saying that my husband had been in an automobile accident and asked me to come. Since my husband and I, if possible, always call one another in person, I felt this must be serious. The preschool's card file was open to the name of a student whose father is a Christian Science practitioner, and I was able to quickly call him for support.

On the way to the hospital I audibly voiced many statements of truth, knowing that God is present with each of His ideas at all times, under all circumstances, and I felt a sense of calm and peace. When I arrived, two State Patrolmen met me and took hold of my arms to support me. I was told that my husband was unconscious and I would not be able to see him because they were running tests. I prayed silently to know that God is man's Life and nothing but good could be uncovered. Shortly after my husband was wheeled out, he regained consciousness, and soon his sight returned. The doctor diagnosed concussion, broken bones, and internal damage. Although we were in a crowded emergency ward, I voiced statements of truth, which included the perfection of man.
