Consumer Protection

We're all buyers and consumers of the products and services of commerce and industry. It may appear that we're sometimes defenselessly imposed on by the marketing of shoddy products, by pride of profit in excess of pride of workmanship, and by after-sale service that falls dismayingly short of pre-sale promises.

There is an active claim that mortal mind and not divine Life, God, has a significant influence in the direction and control of business and makes it sinful. Dishonesty, unscrupulousness, irresponsibility, occur all too often.

Through Christian Science we can find a good measure of consumer protection. Knowing who we really are, sons and daughters of God, immortal Mind—included in His perfect universe—we can demonstrate our innate protection from mortal mind's impositions. Actually, we're no more the helpless victims of sin in business than we are of sin in any context. We can prove this. We can vastly improve the relationship between ourselves and business by scientifically understanding the real, spiritual nature of both man and business. Business, as seen through the lens of the Science of Life, is spiritual and sinless. Real business is as much governed by Life, God, as is the real man. Both are actually God's expression.
