"Let's Talk" About Personal Appearance
A group of high school students from a Boston suburb got together after Christian Science Sunday School to record this discussion with their Sunday School teacher. The subject: How to deal with problems that mar one's personal appearance. The students are Kathleen Ann Marts, June Marie Zabel, Maren Carlsen, and Elizabeth Grob. The teacher is Mrs. Nancy Fischer.
Mrs. Fischer: If one of your teen–age friends came to you all discouraged over a beauty problem—skin, hair, figure, et cetera—and she really wanted help, what would you tell her?
Kathy: I'd say, "Right now you can throw away all those bottles and tubes of stuff that promise to get rid of blemishes (because the blemishes just come right back again anyway). I'm going to tell you just what can heal you—it's Christian Science."
