For three generations my family has been wonderfully helped and healed through Christian Science.

My mother had been in poor health as long as I could remember. She had sought medical aid for many years, without relief, for a duodenal ulcer and other complications. As a last resort she went away for a complete rest. During this period a brother came to see her to tell her of Christian Science. He brought with him a copy of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and she earnestly began its study. In less than two weeks her healing had taken place, and she returned to her home perfectly well. For the first time in many years she was able to eat and sleep normally, and there was never a return of the ailment.

I had been suffering from chronic headaches, which had kept me out of school for over a year. Our eagerness to learn more of the teaching that healed my mother took us to the home of a neighbor who we knew was a student of Christian Science. During this one visit our thoughts were so uplifted through her explanation of the ever–presence and omnipotence of God, good, that we returned home feeling we had indeed found the pearl of great price. This visit was on a Saturday, and the following Monday I returned to school healed.
