Perfect at All Points
Instead of thinking of man as a mortal, physical being, we can learn to know and rejoice in man's spiritual, perfect, intact identity. This is the way Christ Jesus could see man perfect at all points.
It must have been clear to Jesus that a perfect Father, Spirit, would naturally create only a perfect image, spiritual man. Thus Jesus could look at an individual and see his spotless being as the eternal image of Spirit. When evil presented itself, he did not ignore it, but saw it as a lie about man, and he understood it to be powerless, unreal. As a result Jesus restored the maimed to wholeness, the sick to health, the sinner to purity, and raised the dead to life and well–being.
