Healing Includes Preventing Accidents
In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures Mary Baker Eddy makes the strong statement: "Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the nation of chance to the proper sense of God's unerring direction and thus bring out harmony."Science and Health, p. 424;
Is not man, then, as the image and likeness of God, immune to accidents? God, divine Mind, is omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. He controls His creation, and as omniaction initiates all right activity.
Immortal Mind does not know any other power but good. If the cause is good, the effect must be good too. God and man form a unity of cause and effect. So man is never outside God's all–embracing care. Reflecting the divine omnipresence, he is under divine guidance and protection; he is sustained by divine Love and never exposed to accident, danger, or chance.
