Overcoming Pain

Someone in pain needs more than sympathetic words. He needs more than the temporary escape drugs promise. He needs relief from suffering. He needs Christian Science.

Christian Science heals effectively and permanently. It is showing humanity the Christly way to harmony and health.

The ministry of Christ Jesus was marked by healing. He healed people by spiritual means alone. In his own time of sorest trial he fully trusted God, refusing all earthly help, and won the victory of resurrection and ascension, proving the eternal truth of immortality. He proved that even the severest human difficulty could not exceed or elude the amplitude of God's tender mercies. Mrs. Eddy points out, "Divine Truth, Life, and Love gave Jesus authority over sin, sickness, and death. His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man."^{Science and Health, p. 26;}
