We Can Control Our Thoughts
More than a century ago Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote in his essay "Intellect": "We do not determine what we will think.... We have little control over our thoughts."
Christian Science teaches that we can control our thinking, and do it logically, scientifically, and constructively.
In complete conformity with the truth of the Bible and the teachings of Christ Jesus, Christian Science is proving practical these words of Scripture: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isa. 26:3; It is showing the way to keep our thoughts stayed on God, and so weed out the negative thinking that contributes to so much discord and ill health.
