Many years ago my parents turned to Christian Science for a physical healing for me. At that time I had been ill with what six specialists diagnosed as tuberculosis and dropsy in its worst stages. In the estimation of the specialists this was a rare combination in a young person. They told my parents that nothing remained for me except a series of operations, and their verdict was that if I survived I would be an invalid for the rest of my life.

A member of my family, who was a Christian Scientist, asked my parents to have Science treatment for me. Since there wasn't much hope in the medical profession, a decision was made to try this method of total reliance upon God. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and he agreed to take the case as soon as I was released from the hospital. The physician in charge reluctantly signed a release and said, "If that girl ever gets well, I want to know what healed her."

My complete healing took place within a period of three months through the dedicated prayer of the practitioner. (Interestingly, before taking up the study and practice of Christian Science, this practitioner had been a medical doctor.)
