Liberation
We're liberated meaningfully as we see we live in Spirit and that Spirit is our Life. "Mortals must emerge from this notion of material life as all-in-all. They must peck open their shells with Christian Science, and look outward and upward." Science and Health, p. 552; Science and. Health, the book by Mrs. Eddy from which this is quoted, is devoted to our liberation.
Though most of us probably feel we live fairly freely, we may not be as free as we think. So long as we still believe in the reality of matter our freedom is meager, at most. While we accept that our individuality is encased in matter we're far more strongly identified with restriction than with genuine freedom.
We can't actually be imprisoned in material life as all-in-all, for material life is not real—it's a notion, a belief resident in unreal material consciousness and not a fact. To find authentic freedom we need to understand scientifically why we are never lacking it—we're Mind's free idea. So freedom is not something to be regained so much as something inseparable from man and enjoyed continuously by him.
