God Still Speaks to Us
Have you ever had your radio on at normal volume but not heard it because your thought was absorbed in something else? Similarly, though God can be speaking to us, we can fail to hear Him because our problems and desires absorb our entire attention.
In learning to listen to God, perhaps we need first to know more about Him—to understand that He is Spirit, Principle, the infinite source of all reality. He is Mind, or Love, governing all life. And all life in Him is spiritual, perfect.
Jesus, and the prophets before him, endeavored to make this Principle humanly comprehensible, to show that it is lovable and can be lived. Though we sometimes think of God as abstract Principle, He has a natural, spiritual relationship with us that is humanly demonstrable. He is Life itself, not to be found in matter. God is the starting point and the infinite circumference of all real being, the spiritual Life we recognize back of all existence, movement, and development. He is the infinite source of intelligence and understanding, and these are at the disposal of all humanity in unlimited measure and lead out of all material limitation into the only true existence, the spiritual.
