During the past twenty-one years many blessings have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. I have been healed of malaria, rheumatism, poor eyesight, and a painful stomach condition accompanied by diarrhea.

When about ten years of age, my youngest daughter experienced an outstanding healing of polio. Her knees were stiff, and she could not move them or her body without much pain. During the first week of this illness she had help from a member of the branch Church of Christ, Scientist, in Manila, where my daughter was a student in the Sunday School. Since she did not seem to be improving, I asked a friend to telegraph a practitioner in the United States for treatment. Later he informed me that the message might reach the practitioner about four o'clock in the afternoon.

At about that time I was sitting at my daughter's bedside reading aloud to her from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. She then asked me to help her sit up in the bed. Before that she could not move her body without suffering pain. I helped her to sit up in the middle of the bed, and she felt no pain. A minute later she asked me to help her sit on the edge of her bed, with both feet touching the floor. Then she stood up and walked across the floor about three meters from the bed to where her paper ball was lying. She picked it up and began to play with it. She had been instantaneously healed. There has never been a return of that ailment. She is now the mother of four children, and is teaching in the Provincial High School of Palawan.
