A College Student Writes
The First Commandment and Final Exams
It was the first day of final exams.
The Christian Scientists at our college had decided to have an inspirational meeting on intelligence to help each other prepare for them. We were asked to pray individually and then share our inspiration with the group.
While studying metaphysically for the meeting, the First Commandment stood out to me, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Ex. 20:3; I suddenly wondered what that really meant and how that rule which Christ Jesus followed so well could apply to final exams. The following thoughts came to me:
