A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WRITES

How Can I Best Express My Individuality?

Are the clothes I wear and the length of my hair the best expressions of my individuality? No, because what really makes me "me" has nothing to do with my physical appearance. Is my individuality found in my peculiar mental characteristics—my human personality? Mrs. Eddy says, "Personality is not the individuality of man." Science and Health, p. 491;

Then what's left? Where can I find a deeper, more meaningful individuality? I can find it in God, through expressing His individuality.

There is only one God. He is unique, infinite, including the universe within Himself. Who else can always be everywhere at the very same instant? Who else has the power to control the gyrations of millions of planets and stars, yet still have the tender love for a sparrow? Jesus said, "One . . . shall not fall on the ground without your Father." Matt. 10:29. God is so special and so different, so infinite, that He must be the source of all the individuality that exists.
