I have found Christian Science a religion of truth and love, practical in every way. It has done so much for me and mine, and I have had so many healings, and so many problems solved, that it is possible to mention only a few. These blessings occur daily. I have also experienced protection and supply in many ways.

Recently I experienced what seemed to be malarial fever. So many complications set in that my wife called for my father-in-law, who lives on his farm in the Cape Province, one thousand miles or more away. He came to assist with the work on my farm, as there was more than my wife could manage.

I became so ill that through the persuasion of members of the family, and to relieve their fears, I submitted to a doctor and his treatment. It soon became plain to me that I was getting worse, and I knew, as Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health, the Christian Science textbook, "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized" (p. 167).
