Demonstration—What Is It?
When Christian Scientists say they have demonstrated something, what do they mean?
They simply mean that they have personally experienced God's omnipresence and omnipotence. They mean that human thought has coincided with the divine facts and so the truth of God's allness has been evidenced in their lives. In some practical, specific way the divine facts of spiritual being and harmony under God, divine Truth, have replaced the false beliefs of sickness, discord, or sin.
To have demonstration, or evidence, of the spiritual truth, thought must be occupied with spiritual truth. Then the truth destroys false beliefs. False beliefs include discords resulting from a material sense of existence—anything from an aching back to cancer, from theft to adultery.
