Unexpected Child
Planning is so much a part of our lives these days that for some married couples it can seem almost a calamity when they learn that an unexpected child is on the way.
The coming event may seem overwhelming: An unwanted child, plans wrecked, freedom lost, future bogged down with unwelcome responsibilities—all this may seem the very last thing one wants.
If so, an attitude of burdensome discontent and self-blame is hardly helpful.
