The Storm-tossed Bus
Dear Joanie,
I was just thinking of what you wrote about sometimes being afraid of storms. Many people have to face that problem and face it down.
Have you ever been out in the middle of a really bad storm? We were—my sister Lynn and I. We like getting out of school early, but this one day we didn't look forward to any fun. Our school had received a tornado warning, so they put us all on the big yellow buses and sent us home. Our driver was Mr. Carpenter—everybody loves him.
