An Interview: on farming
Desmond J. Hill, Auckland, New Zealand, was a farmer before he entered the full-time healing ministry of Christian Science.
I guess, like many New Zealanders, I had a desire to farm because it's a wonderful way of life. That was the attraction—love of the land and the natural environment.
Before farming I was in the motor trade. Then we purchased this farm—my wife, my father-in-law, and myself. I was left to work it the way I was led. I learned through intuition and watching over the neighbor's fence. I had no farming or university experience.
