Love and Principle, the Radical One

Love and peace are words often heard around the college campus. They are frequently used in connection with war and race problems, although their application in day-to-day human association should not be overlooked.

Another word hand-in-hand with Love is Principle. Perhaps many people would not at first associate these two concepts but after closer examination one discovers that the two are essential in campus activity. Any student concerned with improving the quality of his individual life and that of those around him needs an understanding of Love and Principle.

Science and Health shows that Love and Principle are one, for they are two aspects of God's nature. Its author, Mrs. Eddy, writes, "Jesus aided in reconciling man to God by giving man a truer sense of Love, the divine Principle of Jesus' teachings, and this truer sense of Love redeems man from the law of matter, sin, and death by the law of Spirit,—the law of divine Love."
