How Christian Science Heals
One who has not yet experienced the healing power of Christian Science frequently asks, "How can I expect to be healed when Christian Science teaches that God is not conscious of sin, sickness, calamity, or my special problem?"
Popular custom has too often supported the worship of a manlike God, supposed to express the qualities we normally associate with an unstable and unpredictable human being. It may thus seem difficult, at first, to accept the thought of an incorporeal, loving Supreme Being who has no consciousness of evil or unpredictable mortality, as Mrs. Eddy describes Him in Science and Health, "Christian Science reveals God, not as the author of sin, sickness, and death, but as divine Principle, Supreme Being, Mind, exempt from all evil." Science and Health, p. 127;
Centuries ago, with great spiritual insight, the prophet Habakkuk declared of Him, "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity." Hab. 1:13;
