Too long have I withheld my expression of gratitude from the periodicals. It is well over thirty years ago that my father was wonderfully healed of a serious heart ailment through the prayerful treatment of a Christian Science practitioner. This healing made a great impression on our whole family, more especially because he had been told by eminent physicians that his activities, such as walking up steps, driving a car, and bathing in the sea, to mention just a few things, must cease. It was wonderful to see all this reversed and my father expressing such vigor and vitality, and by this, guiding others to this glorious healing Truth. Following this healing my father was with us for approximately another twenty years.

Since that time Christian Science has become my way of life, and although for the first few years I was not an earnest student, I have always relied on it completely for all my needs. Some of my healings, brought about through the help of practitioners and some through my own work, are as follows.

I was healed of a badly cut leg, which became septic. Heavy colds have been healed quickly. One outstanding instance was on the day before the Sunday services while I was First Reader. The other was on the actual day I was to introduce a Christian Science lecturer. I have been healed of what appeared to be symptoms of a nervous breakdown and of a painful knee joint.
