Practical Spirituality
"Spirituality isn't relevant! Maybe later, when I'm not so pressed with earning a living. How can I afford to think about spirituality while I still have a body that needs to be clothed and fed?"
This common argument is often faced by new students of Christian Science. But the study of this Science helps solve this dilemma by revealing that man and the universe are spiritual right now. Man is not trapped in a material body, waiting to be liberated at some future time. He is the eternal image and likeness of divine Spirit, engaged in expressing the Life that is God.
To be spiritually-minded is natural because man is the expression or child of Mind, Spirit. Spirituality does not result in the loss of identity or needful possessions. In fact, a richer, more complete experience follows this spiritual understanding of ourselves and our world, for matter, not Spirit, is limitation.
