A High School Student Writes
Something Golden
Doesn't every good relationship have something golden in it? Have you ever stopped to think what you could do to make each of your relationships golden?
I did. I found that it requires spiritual understanding and a sincere effort to give of oneself.
What I first did was to try to understand in Christian Science where my real happiness and love spring from. Since God is our only source, and God is All, our only permanent relationship is with Him. In Miscellaneous Writings Mrs. Eddy says: "God is our Father and our Mother, our Minister and the great Physician: He is man's only real relative on earth and in heaven." Mis., p. 151; Even human relationship is temporary, but it can reflect the lasting quality of love. We are all really expressions of God, and our ability to relate ourselves to others comes from Him.
