Christian Science has been my religion ever since I was born. I attended the Sunday School until I was twenty years of age and joined our branch church when I became eighteen.

After I was married and we had two sons, I began to grow in Christian Science and learn many truths. I would like to relate one healing I will always be grateful for.

Our younger son was at that stage when he crawled all over the place. One evening as I was preparing our dog's supper, I slammed one cupboard door shut. Our son had started to put his hand into the cabinet. The tip of one of his fingers was pinched off. I took him into the bathroom to try to stop the bleeding. I did not examine the finger but clung to the fact that there are no accidents in God's kingdom. During this time my husband got on the telephone and called a Christian Science practitioner and the Christian Science visiting nurse. Guilt and self-condemnation tried to take over my thinking, but I prayed to reverse these thoughts.
