The True Nature of Supply

Christian Science shows us how divine Love, pouring forth infinite, inexhaustible supply, is expressed through the activity of spiritual ideas in human consciousness, meeting concretely every human need.

A striking example of this is found in the Bible. Joseph, because of his spiritualized consciousness, was able to interpret Pharaoh's dreams and to conceive the plan of storing a fifth part of the produce of the seven plenteous years for use in the seven years of famine to come. This not only preserved the life of the Egyptians but of his own family (see Gen., Chap. 41).

One learns in Christian Science that the inexhaustible resources of divine Mind are always manifested through divine ideas. These ever-present ideas are readily perceived in spiritualized human consciousness. Whatever the need may be, the divine ideas for meeting that need are ever available for man's use. In her Miscellaneous Writings Mrs. Eddy writes: "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." Mis., p. 307;
