Shortly after my husband and I were married, the skin on my right hand became irritated and very uncomfortable. I experienced a continual awareness of this unsightly condition, which eventually spread to my left hand also. For a period of twenty years I was never once without this condition to a greater or lesser degree.

I was raised in Christian Science, going to the nursery in a branch church at a very early age and attending Sunday School regularly until twenty years of age. I joined The Mother Church and a branch church within a year of leaving Sunday School. Shortly thereafter I was married to a fine young man who was also a Christian Scientist.

One day, a few years ago, I realized I no longer had this skin problem. Many times prior to this I had to battle with discouragement, but I had continued to pray to be shown what wrong thought was manifesting itself in this way. I felt a sense of happiness because of this new freedom, but the problem was not solved.
