FROM THE WILDERNESS
With water gushing from the rock,
And manna whitening stone and sand,
How could there be the slightest doubt
Of God's compassionate hand?
Not for tomorrow but today
Are wellsprings of supply outpoured.
Blessings innumerable gainsay
Impulse to fear or hoard.
Oh, may men see with opened eyes
Needs filled, replenished. Then will come
The peace that all will recognize
As earth's long-sought millennium!
