Christian Science was practiced in our home following my mother's healing. However, I never had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School and did not really study this beautiful religion until after my marriage. My growing understanding of the truth of my being as a spiritual child of God has brought me from utter despair to a life of abundant joy.

When my son was born, the attending physician expected a lengthy and difficult experience. With prayerful treatment by a Christian Science practitioner in another city, the birth was quick and natural.

Without my knowledge, all our savings were depleted. We were forced to move back to our former home. A few months later my husband passed on, and when a miscarriage occurred after the funeral it seemed I was passing on also. The practitioner stayed in our home with me through the night, and a beautiful healing took place. At this time much fear in my thought was healed. The Psalms, particularly Psalm 91, awakened me to God's ever-presence and loving protection. Psalm 42, verse 8, told me, "The Lord will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me."
