I would like to express my deep gratitude for a clearer understanding of God's love and generous healing through Christian Science.

Some years ago I found myself in the hospital with what was called a worn-out heart, plus a number of complications. The doctor told my husband he could take me home, that it was just a matter of time until I would die. My daughter called for help from my sister who is a student of Christian Science. My sister, in turn, asked my husband if I could have Christian Science treatment. He said he was willing for me to have anything that would help.

My sister then called a practitioner, who worked with me. He showed me how Christian Science works as explained in the Bible and in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and how Christ healed, and still does. I began to understand Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 125): "Neither organic inaction nor over action is beyond God's control." As the practitioner prayerfully worked with me, I became stronger. As my thinking cleared to the realization that there is only one Mind, and that we are all God's children, made perfect in His image and likeness, I learned that I could not be sick and weak, because God is not sick and weak. I did away with all the pills. After three weeks the doctor who had known my case saw me in the yard and was amazed to see the improvement. This was ten years ago. I have not taken any medicine or been to a doctor since.
