I became interested in Christian Science through my daughter's mother-in-law, who is a student of Christian Science. She visited us and was such a lovely person that I wanted to know something more of her religion. My daughter and her husband were also visiting us from the West Coast.

One Sunday afternoon we got into a discussion of Christian Science. I knew very little about it. The explanations given made me change my ideas completely and want to learn more. Later I visited several branch churches in my vicinity.

Then while on a visit to the West Coast, caring for a new baby in my daughter's home, I read portions of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which my daughter had purchased. I told her that I too would like a copy. Subsequently she got one for me. On returning home I continued to read the textbook and attend Sunday services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings.
