I have been a student of Christian Science for thirty-six years, and would like to add my testimony concerning the healing efficacy of this Science.

I was a patient in a veterans' hospital in 1932, when I decided that if I was ever going to regain my health again it must be with the help of God. For sixteen years prior to entering the hospital, I had gone to no less than ten specialists in as many different states, including the famous Mayo Clinic, where I was told to return home and continue the medication previous doctors had prescribed. I was becoming discouraged and gradually losing faith that material medicine would ever restore my health.

Although I was only thirty-six, my health was deteriorating to the extent that I no longer was able to work, and the veterans' hospital seemed a most welcome haven for one burdened with a sick body. Nothing could have been more disappointing. I was made a bed patient, put on a diet, and had to continue examinations I had had so many times before.
