I am very grateful for all the love and goodness I have known as a result of my study of Christian Science. I was raised in Christian Science and had wonderful healings as a child of so-called childhood diseases. At one time a broken collarbone was healed quickly when I had treatment from a Christian Science practitioner.

When I was in the ninth grade in high school, I seemed to have a dislike for everyone in school and would not have anything to do with the other young people. I had a cold that progressively got worse, and one morning I awoke with a rash on my arms and legs and feet. I was very sick and was not able to retain food. After several days in bed I was unable to move properly or walk and had to be carried from one part of the house to the other. A practitioner worked prayerfully with me every day and oftentimes at night, when my need seemed greatest.
