I am humbly grateful for Christian Science because it gave me spiritually that which I so desperately needed. Science has been my salvation. The healing and joy it has brought me is proof to me that all Mary Baker Eddy has given us of her great knowledge of God is demonstrable Truth.
I have had many healings, some instantaneous, others taking more time. An outstanding one was that of cataracts. Each time my eyes were tested I was told I was not getting any younger, and that I was making a great mistake in not having the cataracts removed.
One day when I was going for an examination, I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked her to work for me while I was being examined. She agreed and said, "The veil of the temple has been rent asunder," referring to the instance at the time of Christ Jesus' crucifixion when "the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom" (Matt. 27:51).
