Vulgarity Can Be Healed
There is a widespread misconception that certain forms of vulgarity are clever. Otherwise admirable people intersperse conversations with crude language. We are offered so-called adult books, magazines, plays, and motion pictures replete with "the earth, earthy."I Cor. 15:47;
A verse in Proverbs poses a pertinent question, "Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?"Prov. 6:28; We cleanse ourselves of deleterious influences by the active recognition that only whole-someness can mirror Godlike thoughts.
In the Biblical allegory of Adam and Eve, beginning in the second chapter of Genesis, Eve denied God's allness. Looking for pleasure in pseudoknowledge opposed to divinely bestowed intelligence, she listened to the serpent and also misled Adam. As a result both she and Adam forfeited the harmony they had enjoyed and were banished from the Garden of Eden.
