Signs of the Times
The Reverend Jack Burton, M. A. Vicar, Ellacombe Parish Church Torquay, Devonshire, England in a letter to his parishioners
A Happy New Year! What a welcome thought. We can leave the unpleasant and unhappy things behind. The shadows and problems of the past year are gone forever. The mind is such a wonderful instrument for our good that it can select what it likes to retain and reject what it wants to let go.
And the mind is the means by which we "look forward." In this New Year let us all take a further step in training our thoughts to anticipate what is helpful and happy and healing.
