I was introduced to Christian Science many years ago by a young lady I was dating while stationed at the Navy school at Harvard University. She used to take me to The Mother Church in Boston.

After I was discharged from the Navy and returned to my home, I became associated with a group who held some pretty wild parties, so I was badly in need of spiritual guidance.

From what I had learned while attending Sunday services at The Mother Church, I was sure Christian Science could help me. I went to a Christian Science Reading Room and had a talk with the attendant. She was most helpful and showed me how to study the weekly Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly. I purchased the Bible, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, a Quarterly and a copy of The Christian Science Journal. The Journal, she pointed out to me, contained a directory of Christian Science churches and societies, as well as practitioners who were available for help should I need it.
