RADIO PROGRAM NO. 332 - Giving Children a Basis for Self-respect, Part II

[The speaker is Florence Ludgate, a Christian Science practitioner. The questioner is Theodore Clapp, a guidance counselor.]

Announcer: Self-respect is something all parents want their children to have. But in a slum ghetto or among the disadvantaged, self-respect seems hard to come by.

Questioner: Parents often find that it is difficult to develop a sense of self-respect on the part of a child, especially when the child deeply feels a lack of ability or some kind of disadvantage. Parents want very much to know how to help such a youngster.
