THE ROD
Exodus 4:1-4
Impossible task!—and—a serpent!
Oh, do not flee; for it may well be
God is giving you a sign—
a rod—divine experience
to purge your courage to endure
at lifting thoughts from matter bars
to the freedom of His stars,
above mortality
to Love!
Moses fled down the trail
before His sign—the rod turned to a serpent.
Yet, at God's command,
he came back and took it by the tail—
he took it in his hand,
and lo! it became the rod
by which he led the chosen of God
out of bondage
into the Promised Land!
