Set your affection on things above (Col. 3:2)

The Greek word rendered "set your affection on" means, more literally, "think about; consider; have in mind." The New English Bible suggests, "Let your thoughts dwell in that higher realm, not on this earthly life"; and Weymouth, "Give your minds to the things that are above."
