Signs of the Times

As a Christian, I believe that man's shaping, whether by environment or any other factor, is directly under the creative hand of God—the Ultimate Source. And I believe from now on, that the destiny of man and his evolutionary development will be found increasingly within the realm of the spirit. I believe that a new manhood must be forged over the sinew of environment and the skeleton of ancient instincts. I believe that if mankind is to be shown the new nature of man as God means to forge it, someone has to come and show us how and what the finished product will lock like. I believe that He has come already, and even now we celebrate His birth.

It may be that one stream of man's evolutionary development is drying up. Man now has his brain, and it is big enough to destroy him. A new and necessary path has been opened to us—the development of the spirit of man—which surely all of us would agree is the key to our ultimate manhood and our survival.
