Little Dog Lost
[For children]
Jim squinted against the glare of the hot desert sun. The long ribbon of highway stretched far ahead to distant hills. Cactus plants, tall as giants, seemed to march endlessly across the barren desert floor. Jim had been reading the weekly Christian Science Lesson-Sermon aloud to his mother as she drove the car.
Now he closed his Bible, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and the Christian Science Quarterly and put them away in the glove compartment.
I sure wouldn't like to be lost out here!" he declared, noting the desolation of this western desert.
