Infinite Resources for Fulfillment
Sometimes we seem unable to accomplish anything beyond the routine and insignificant. But Christian Science teaches that we have more than human resources with which to achieve satisfaction and fulfillment. We can find both reassurance and instruction in Mrs. Eddy's statement, "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul." Science and Health, p. 60;
Soul, God, is Spirit, infinite Mind, the perfect source of all that is real and good. Soul is infinite individuality, which is reflected in the real, spiritual man but never in the false material concept of man. When we realize that man reflects Soul's infinite individuality, we find that intelligence, patience, graciousness, devotion, humility, and courage are all present in unlimited quantity, sufficient to meet any need. Other progressive qualities we can increasingly express include joy, vivacity, efficiency, spiritual beauty, and a sense of humor.
We never need fear that exchanging erroneous, mortal qualities for real, Godlike qualities will make us unproductive or uninteresting. Quite the opposite. There are infinite resources with which we can increase our ability and freshness. Neither should a person fear that some quality is unattainable. Just as each ray of light contains all the colors of the spectrum, so individual spiritual man reflects all the resources of infinite Mind, Soul. Thus any talent or other resource that one believes he lacks is available for him to claim.
